Top AI Tools for Actors 2025: Self-Tape Apps, AI Scene Partners & Cue Mode Comparison

I’ve made it a weekly discipline to review companies building AI products for the acting community. There’s some really exciting work happening, and I wanted to highlight a few tools:
Acting Pal
We’re working hard to build the most comprehensive tool for professional/ aspiring actors. Our goal is to give you everything you need in one platform: access to human readers, highly realistic AI voices that respond naturally like a real reader, script extraction, a built-in teleprompter, multiple memorisation modes, and more to come.
Rafy
A self-tape tool similar to Acting Pal, currently available only on iOS. Rafy does a lot of things well, but one area that recently has stood out is their stance on sustainability. AI consumes a lot of energy, and Rafy has committed not just to neutralising its carbon footprint but offsetting it by partnering with trusted organisations in Costa Rica. At Acting Pal, we’re equally committed to this cause and will be announcing our own partnerships with carefully selected organisations by the end of this year. I will be exploring this in more detail in next week's blog post.
Cast Me Now
An innovative tool that submits to roles on your behalf. You enter your login details for casting platforms, and the tool applies for you. It’s the only product I’ve seen that delivers this functionality effectively — a very clever innovation.
Muse
Muse offers a clean UI and high-quality cue mode with great quality AI voices. However, it doesn’t yet include self-tape functionality, which limits its scope for actors looking for an all-in-one tool.
Scene Partner AI
Currently the most sophisticated “cue mode” available. The drawback: it’s web-only, which can be restrictive compared to mobile-first apps.
