Acting Pal Voice Library: Now 53 AI Voices (January 2026)
Happy New Year!
2025 has been a massive year of growth for Acting Pal: growing approximately 30% month on month since August 2025. We’re anticipating even faster growth in 2026 as we engage in social campaigns.
We’ve made some major changes, particularly to our Android-based app, over the last several months.
However, one request we’ve been holding back on until we got it just right was expanding our voice library.
Having a high-quality voice library is so important for effective line learning and self-taping: the last thing you want is for the voices to be a distraction, both to the viewer and to you as a performer.
Currently, we have one of the widest libraries of AI voices across the line learning and self-taping market—and we’re about to level up even further in January.
Some of the voices we used were not particularly popular, so we’ve reduced quite a few of the less-used voices and replaced them with more realistic options, while also including a more diverse range overall.
Our voice library is now at 53 unique voices (rather than 42). We’ve expanded our library to include several different European accents: Italian, Spanish, and Eastern European. We now include African American voices for both male and female AI characters. We’ve integrated Northern accents in the UK for both male and female AI characters.
However, there is still work to be done. We recognise that our users want more voice options, particularly for gender-neutral characters (and teen/child female voices are still limited). Presently, the available AI voices for gender-neutral characters are not realistic enough to be integrated into Acting Pal. We are hopeful this will change going forward.
Nevertheless, we are proud that Acting Pal has one of the most diverse, extensive, and realistic ranges of voices currently in the self-taping and line learning market.
