While Rafy is only available on iOS, Acting Pal is on both iOS and Android. As it stands, it’s the only application with a functional and safe cue mode. Rather than relying on third parties to facilitate cue mode, we use local models. We spent months developing a secure, locally stored, and high-performing cue mode, and we feel strongly that — especially for Android (and soon iOS) — we’ve nailed it.

Cue Mode

Acting Pal uses loose matching and more robust logic for cue mode to handle situations where speech recognition fails. In contrast, Rafy appears to use a strict matching requirement, which means that if speech recognition falters, cue mode doesn’t work.

Community and Free Readers

Acting Pal offers a community of free readers for self-tapes that require a human touch. We also provide incentives for participation — if you read a certain number of times in a month, you can use Acting Pal for free.
